One of the reasons riders get attached to waxed cotton jackets is that they don't stay looking brand new for very long.

And that's kind of the point

The creases start showing up. The fabric softens a bit. A few marks appear here and there from rides, weather, fuel stops, and all the usual stuff that comes with owning a motorcycle. After a while the jacket starts looking like it's actually been somewhere.

But there is a difference between natural wear and unnecessary wear.
